 Johnson County is a great place to live. It is home to welcoming, hard-working, caring people, great neighborhoods and parks, and a wide variety of restaurants and shopping. It is a thriving residential and business community known as the economic engine of Kansas and is consistently recognized as one of the best places in the country to live and raise a family.

Historically, our political leaders have supported this growth and prosperity via prudent policies that respect businesses and taxpayers. However, we must be vigilant in maintaining our way of life. Increasingly, we're seeing attempts to take rights away from states and centralize them at the federal level. We're seeing the reimposition of quotas and regulations on business. We're seeing "defund the police" soft on crime policies result in increased crime. We're seeing reckless spending result in runaway inflation and higher taxes.

I believe there is a better way. I believe in measuring success not by the number of people on government programs, but by the number helped to become independent and self-supporting. I believe in removing barriers to business formation, which in turn leads to more jobs. I believe in ensuring that our constitutional rights are preserved, and that local control is respected. I believe in fiscal responsibility, accountability and results for spending taxpayer dollars.
